Testimonials
We enjoy seeing people increase the quality of their lives by making changes, big or small, that result in happiness and ultimately success.
Take a moment to read about positive experiences people have had as a result of their interactions with Happy on Wheels and their views on how we can work with others to assist them in overcoming challenges and living a happier life.
Sheri Denkensohn-Trott and her husband Tony are creating a wonderful opportunity for the world at large to better understand the challenges and joys of living with hardships.
They bring with them their own daily experiences and frustrations while seeing things through the eyes of positive thinkers. I feel fortunate to know them and to gain tremendously from the experiences that they share.
As a member of our college’s Advisory Board, I have known and worked with Sheri for several years now. Sheri is absolutely one of the most inspiring and passionate change-makers that I have had the good fortune to meet. She has brought considerable knowledge and significant contacts to the work of our Board. Truly, a key resource and advocate for any cause or organization lucky enough to have her.
On good days and bad, Sheri and Tony choose to greet each day with verve. It is this personal and collective dynamism and determination that inspires and motivates those who meet them. Their days and nights are a story of love, compassion, perseverence and optimism that set a high standard.
Sheri Denkensohn-Trott’s story is a story about going above and beyond what most believe to be possible. Her story teaches so much; it leads us to discover that fear is the only thing that can paralyze us from going after what we truly want in life.
Happy on Wheels is inspiring to me personally because Sheri and Tony have excelled at leading their best lives in spite of their circumstances rather than letting their circumstances define and limit their lives. As a nurse, I have referred patients to the web page and encourage following them on Facebook and Instagram. I, personally, look to the Monday Mantra for inspiration and wisdom.
We can not imagine that a website ever originated with more sincerity of purpose, and that will endure with sustained trust, and be always respected for its goodness of heart!
Sheri’s infectious personality and love for life is what allows her to connect with everyone that she meets. Her passion and dedication makes her driven to continuously serve and encourage others. Without Sheri’s assistance in editing my cover letter and resume, and guidance throughout my career path I wouldn’t be half as prepared to enter the workforce.
As anyone with a disability can attest to there are those moments when it can all just seem like too much. Wheelchair breaks down, the hotel turns out to not be accessible in spite of advertising to the contrary, Doctor’s office is not accessible- really, accessible taxi doesn’t show up on time by an hour and the frustrations keep ticking on.
The one positive thing I can always count on is a positive thought or a very pertinent funny cartoon will show up from Happy On Wheels just when I need it the most.
It makes me think, take a deep breath, helps keep things in perspective and even smile. Thank You Happy On Wheels, keep sending those positive thoughts!
Sheri Denkensohn-Trott, Co-Founder, Happy on Wheels is to be commended for her dedication and commitment to the fight against cancer, especially regarding people with disabilities where the Thelma D. Jones Breast Cancer Fund values her efforts in this regard. Her advocacy work is second to none and is performed with a courage of fortitude and persistence. Because of the many adversities she has overcome in life, her work is a true calling for which she does passionately and with a certain nobility and a goal of making a difference and helping to save lives. Her presence is always welcomed at our monthly support group meetings.
I attribute much of my success with applying to graduate school to Sheri’s guidance throughout the application process. It’s hard to put words to how much I value having her insight and perspective. Sheri’s mentorship gave me confidence, comfort, and peace of mind through what would have been a daunting process without her. She was invested every step of the way and her passion made it evident that she was just as excited as I was with every acceptance and scholarship offer. I’m so very thankful for her unwavering support and constant friendship.
What an inspiration she is! I was in awe of her poise, strength, optimism, etc.
I just wanted to say how much I needed to hear the part about being angry but deciding to move forward. It is nice to have a reminder that you are going to drop things, and life is not white picket fences and perfection, but you can always get back up and move on.
I joined your presentation on grief & loss and was able to see the program through your remarks! I’m so glad I did. I thought the whole thing was incredibly well done. And what you shared was thoughtful, insightful, and frankly inspiring. You have such a gift. Thank you for your willingness to so vulnerably share the story of you and your sister.
Your help with the girls writing is WELL worth 10xs what you charge and it has made this a stress-free process for ME!
Sheri was easy to work with and was supportive throughout my essay writing process. She helped me elevate my writing and gave great suggestions on how to approach my essay.
The students can’t stop talking about your visit- they loved speaking with you!
Sheri delivered on what our organization needed: an understanding of what diversity inclusion means, why it is important and what it takes to get there. Her energy is inviting and non-judgmental. She drew out frank and authentic dialogue and left us with practical takeaways that will have lasting impact.
