Directions

Anyone who read by blog last newsletter is aware that I spent about a week in the hospital following some surgery on some fairly serious burns. As a result, I find myself having to use a shower chair to take a shower. Before I had used a built-in bench and just transferred from my regular chair to the bench, but now I use a shower chair so falling is, while not totally out of the question, much less of a concern.
I did just get the shower chair in the Mail today (Wednesday), and I was rather pleased with myself that I was able to put the chair completely together on my own. I believe I did that correctly and the chair will not fall apart while I am using it. I think that also says more about the ease of putting it together than my construction skills! However, this did make me realize something that I used to not pay attention to: reading directions.
Following directions can be as simple as reading and if you don’t do it, you can risk having whatever the directions were for not be OK or be finished as quickly, I have even seen some things where the warranty is voided if you do not read the instructions and do something improperly during assembly. So not using directions could potentially cost you money.
